I went to the final three days of the Olympic Track & Field trials at Hayward Field in Eugene last weekend. Two days with Jay and one day with Joe. Saw several stadium, trials and American records fall. Fun to watch Galen Rupp qualify for Bejing in the 10,000 meters.
The U.S. championships will be held in Eugene two of the next three years. Also the 2010 NCAA championships and the 2012 Olympic Trials. Add in the Duck meets and the Prefontain Classic and it is easy to see why it is call Track Town, USA.
